I can't help drawing silly cartoons about the Olympics. They're cropping up all over. On sticky notes, backs of envelopes, magazine margins, inside Moleskins, journals, stationery, envelopes, postcards . . . And my strongest Olympics is that somewhere in Rio someone is thinking of me, and they're addressing a postcard with a written message just for me. I dream of at least one postcard from Rio.
I wonder if there are mail boxes just for the athletes? Do you think they'll be too busy to send a postcard home even after their events? Or will they be too excited to think of something so mundane? I wonder what would happen if I sent a postcard to a favorite athlete. Do you think they'd get it? Well, dang! "Well, let me see," said the blind man. I'm sending a postcard to Rio!
Happy mail to you, until I write again.
