I'm Back In Stride Again

September 19, 2014

Dear y'all,

How are you? Fine, I hope.

Music moved my Friday. It began with Michael Buble's "Birds flying' high, you know how I feel . . ."  Frankie Beverly and Maze, kept it going with "I'm back in stride again!"And, indeed I am. Better physical and mental health are wondrous things. Not much beats a stress-free vacation, but being pain-free tops the chart. So, in the words of James Brown, "I feel good!" And, I'm back in the mail saddle again," almost like Gene Autry. See?

All hail, mail! All this is from last night, when the funny sounding rain kept me awake. Surprisingly, I was so happy to hear it again this morning that I got up, piddled around and returned to bed to hug the covers again. Why is it harder to fall asleep once you've gained your morning consciousness? Rhetorical just offered several reasons, but who's listening? I am back in stride again. I am making sure strides through my major backlog of "mail due." There's no stress, less mess, and it's fun again. How much fun is it? I'll tell you. See the little postcard I made for Alex and et al? Well, I saw the behemoth in the parking lot next to our post office yesterday, so you know I had to get a shot. I got out of the car, tiptoed across the lot, crouched and duck-walked through the bushes, and click! I got the shot. I got it, and Spiny heard me. I back-scooted until I butted the curb and banged into the passenger door of the Honda. Thank goodness dinosaurs have small brains, or there's no telling what might have happened. Respect my proof 'cause I'm sticking to my story.

Wait. Who among us likes the new international stamp? *shudder* It makes me think of global warming. It also beats having had to use the tired Christmas stamps all year. So. I'm four letters and two postcards ahead. New stamps, a hardly used box of stationery . . . Yep, I really am back in stride. Again.

Sincerely sincere,

Limner

    1. Hey, how are you? Thanks! It's good to see you're back as well. I've missed posting and reading posts. We all need a little R&R . Regularly, it seems. :)

  3. Yeah, I didn't buy any of the new international stamps. The new, upcoming holiday one is pretty, though, so I will buy a bunch of those when they're available.

    1. I bought ten. I have not see the new holiday stamps yet, a postal clerk informed me they'll be available soon. Our post office sells stamps like it's nobody's business, and although it makes me feel good knowing the mail is moving, it also means I have to work harder and drive farther just to get the newest stamps. Who's complaining though, huh? :)

I'm with you. I'm gonna load up when they're available, and count myself fortunate.
