A Sunday Kind of Mail

"Le Legs"
envelope+postcards

The Lydia Mendoza stamp is one of the best Texas stamps. The artist got the graphics just right. Did you know she's a pioneer? Do you know why? Have you bought Lydia Mendoza stamps? I did. I bought forty. I've used almost half.

Do you remember Wilson, the neighbor across the fence on Tool Time? JC dubbed the young trio next door, Wilson. He delivered mail from Wilson on Friday. There's a lovely backstory. I'm saving it for the coming week. Hope y'all had a great weekend. My Sunday is peaceful. We had a guest from Oklahoma for the weekend. It was nice, but then he's family.

Men are so easy, don't you think? Alfred did not mind that I could not cook every meal. He ate the sandwich from Jimmy John's and was satisfied. He also enjoyed Friday's homemade spaghetti. *grin* And he brought empathy. He needs surgery on both rotator cuffs so you know he offered . Most military retirees have orthopedic problems, but I was surprised because he looks great. I didn't mind serving him. Once I fed the hunger beast I retired to my improvised drawing table, and all was well. I wrote two notecards before I slept. Today I printed four postcards. A Sunday kind of mail is all eased and relaxed. What about you? Do you have mail for Monday?

Write on.

    1. I'm sorry about your migraine. I have friends who suffer from them. Hope you feel better soon. The knee brace will help. :)

Put your feet up and relax. Be good to yourself.

    1. Girl, behave! LOL. I'm in bed with a hot water bottle and don't have your address on hand. "Hmm. Let me see," said the blind man.

    2. Shannah, your address was torn away in strips. Your postcard took a beating. Want to send it to me again?

  4. I like your easy Sunday. I don't know where the week has gone but I've put several things in the mail including something for you. The days are longer now and I've been sitting in the garden when I can just enjoying the warmer days. I hope your Friday is as nice as your Sunday.

    1. Imagining you warm and at rest. Peace, your sole companion, abides for a while.

I don't remember much about that weekend, so it was without drama, quite possibly. :)

My Mac is in Apple's ICU. :( it's getting a new pacemaker aka hard drive. Guess who put off the backup for one more day.yes. Chances are, I lost everything. I wanted to cry until I thought about what I told my mama about the people who lost their possessions recently to tornadoes: They get to start over. Fresh. Brand new.

Am glad I did not listen to the penny punchers who spoke against buying Apple Care. Having it saved me a bundle. So. Down time is good time. I'm learning new things, writing little letters, and drawing new friends.

Thanks for mail that teaches and inspires me. You won't believe what I brought home in a new magazine. Hint: the River Wye! Oh, my! :) Mail headed your way. Illumination is in my near future. ;) everything is beautifully beautiful! Thank you.

  5. I am sorry that your Mac isn't feeling well. I hope that it comes back good as new and that you have backups of your stuff. If not then I am even sorrier for your loss. I would just die if my comp. broke and I lost all my photos and files. Well, maybe not die... but close to it ;) We lost some of our precious photos from Costa Rica due to a double fatality, (the comp.hard drive and our external back up storage drive both died within days of each other). Some things that can not be replaced floated out into the ether... After that we have a 3 part storage system, the hard disk, an external hard drive with a mega storage capability, and CD's of all our files and photos. Actually there are 4... the forth is that we made a copy of the CD's and sent them to Da's parents, so that if there is a fire or other disaster at our place, the cd's would be safely tucked away in Winston-Salem. Seems like over kill, but then I would have never dreamed that the 2 location back-up wouldn't be enough. I grieve with you my dear Limner if all your goodies passed with your hard drive. Big hugs!
