It's Raining & Pouring Presents

A postcard! There isn't an envelope strong enough to hold fun and delight! This girl is bursting out! She's trying to, anyway. What's the bird that likes shiny things? Magpie? Well, this bird likes all things having to do with writing mail. She "borrows" my art tools and she do-do-do her thing, right on the scene! She also likes to tell little tales of dreams, schemes, and arm chair adventures. She loves . . .

Goodness me! Feels like someone shook the Birthday Clouds and presents came pouring out! The mailman rang the doorbell this morning and woke me wide up. Half asleep, I disarmed the alarm, "dashed" down the stairs, hooked a hard right, peered through the drapes, and . . . no one. There wasn't a soul in sight. That meant "look down." So I did, and there lay the prettiest sight! One glimpse only hinted at the delight in store. Tomorrow I will tell you more. Tonight my neck and shoulder are much too sore. Okay, not sore, but it rhymes. And I am tired of boring you with all this. Maybe I will tell you tonight! JC went to pick up a refill prescription for me. I really, really, really do want you to see all the wonderful, amazing, imaginative, goodness Anna! A birthday party in a box! Down to the littlest details, and a CAKE! Oh, just you wait!

And there's more. JC, home from Chicago last night, walked through the door with . . . Oh, just you wait and see. It's another Happy Birthday retake for me!

    1. Tammy, will you forgive me for misspelling your surname? Can't always read my own writing. Sorry. :) I am so excited. I just cut the cake. Oh, yum, wish you had some!. Anna, you really know how to pack a punch. :) Thank you, dear friend.

Sorry again Tammy. This is one of the best birthdays ever. The gifts amaze and touch my heart but the most wonderful thing is knowing I'm thought of. I am practically a recluse with no girlfriends or regular visitors. By choice. :) I spend so much time doing the things I love. Finally! Knowing I have some of the best friends that I've made through this blog and through the mail practically blows me away. Have I ever mentioned being the queen of jacks? I have a set of jacks! :))) Oops! I've said too much. Gotta go.

I love you Anna! :) Surprising me isn't easy.

    1. Anna, the timing was perfect. We needed a pick-us-up. JC had so much fun looking and salivating you'd have thought it was his party. LOL. You are a sweetheart, and you have a new friend. :) He was like a kid, waiting for me to open the cake tin. He just knew it was a fruitcake. I asked why on Earth would he think such a thing. He said, "Only fruitcakes come in tins." Aha! You taught him! The fondant icing kept the cake moist. We are going to have a party this weekend. I like the banner so much! It's my first; from now on, it has a place in our family celebration traditions. I often draw banners for my 'toons. Now I have one of my own!. Oh, I must save the rest for a letter. :)))

I planned to post some of the many photos today but my right arm is quite swollen. My hand is growing numb as a result but nothing detracts from the happiness hangover I've had all day. :D

Much love! You're the darling in the home. I sent pictures to Erin and she said I was very much loved. Eyes too wet to see well now. :) . . .
