My first birthday wishes.
Wonderful blessings in sky blue color. Who could ask for anything more? But there's more!
Friends bearing gifts on white paper with blue lines can make a gray sky blue. A Tootsie Roll for a sweet tooth is a sign of friendship that's true. It's from Alex.
You know I cried, right? These are from . . . Well, maybe it's from the three of them. Try to imagine my delight at this wondrous sight. A box of Pretty Promise lip gloss! In 7 flavors. Sweet Cherry, Red Velvet, Vanilla Frosting, Tutti Frutti, Cotton Candy, and White Chocolate! Ooh-wee-man! After dinner I can wear them all and kiss JC for dessert. I can always cut my cake tomorrow. There's more . . .
I think this flower is from Fatima. She gives me flowers. These bloom right next to the garage door. The scent is amazing.
I sat here, staring at Mrs. Thatcher and friends from my window. Lovely sights all together. I thought Ben Cartwright had the first doorbell. Confused, I went still and listened. Just to be sure, I went downstairs, opened a curtain and peeped to the right. There stood Alex and Fatima. When I opened the door, my heart went all wobbly on me. They held gifts and greetings. In unison they wished me a happy birthday. Fatima had a red flower behind her left ear. Alex's face was clean and his smile was as bright as the sun that went missing. Oh, the hope in their eye! It brought tears to my own. I swallowed hard, determined not to cry, and I grinned, hand-over-heart. It galloped. Imagine children wanting God's blessings on someone.
I gave them a bundle of Turkish Delight in return. It was meant for Erin. Their delight trumped the Turks by bunches! Erin is home! She was discharged yesterday. Shin picked her up, took her food-shopping, took her home and got her settled in. I love this guy. One night after the surgery, he was so tired that he fell asleep holding her hand. His dad was in the hospital too. After work he'd visit both of them. He even spent a night.
Where am I? Oh! Early gifts.
12 rolls of washi tape! THANK YOU, dear Patty!!! I'll have taping good time. I've used some of it. It's grand. Such pretty colors. You have no idea . . . I have a thing for tape. Surely some of you know this? LOL! 12 rolls. Wow.
Thanks, everyone, for all the lovely wishes. I'm not good at remembering birthdays. So I try to give gifts
Mail. Fourteen "Glass House" postcards. Ready for a road trip.
. . . to be continued. Looks like I have to go out for dinner despite being drugged.
Dinner was delightful. We had the best servers. The wine was to pine for. The perfect way to end a birthday day? Cake! Wish y'all could have some. It's yum! I'll try to save you a slice. Goodnight.
