Limner Asks For Your Understanding

I'm sure you are aware that limners have commitments, too. We have bling to buy, vacations to dream of, and we have to pay for our art supplies, and stamps, and shoes and rocking totes.

For real, we have to pay for our books, our 'zine subscriptions, our reading glasses that have headlights.

There are pastels, and pencils, stationery and fountain pens, lovely inks, and paper sinks. Oh, yes. We have to earn our pin/pen money.
Ain't it funny?

Ain't it funny how art supplies always need replenishing? And who said freelancing was free? Sure wasn't me. So. Hi-ho! Hi-ho! It's off to play I go. Down the hall to the studio. Hi-ho! Do what you love and you never have to work.

P.S. I'll be back in a handful of days, or less. There'll be much to tell and many letters to write. Oh! And surprises. There will be lots of surprises! Stay tuned?

  2. It's nice to see your work! Both Carter and I have many pieces of mail for you. Even more when I find two letters you sent to Carter. I put them in a safe place..and have yet to think of where! I will find them soon. Please don't think Carter doesn't want to write..its that his mail caretaker is having what my mother calls a senior moment. Haha

    1. Oh, Misty, you're a dear. It did these quickies for my Bling Girlfriends. The hard part is knowing which should be pairs with whom. The big green on the left is moi. Hahaha! The last little GF isn't in the bigger picture 'cause I was playing around. More about that later. Funniest thing is, I was taught artists have one style. Not me. My main style is traditional-painterly-realistic. Anyway . . .

I am always up for mail. Just wish it didn't take me so long to write. It's difficult now that I've got my groove back. I'll probably be doing easel work next week. LOL. I can't stop. Not after my dry spell. Mail is good when ever it comes. Carter doesn't have to reply to each flash card. I would never expect that of him. :) Am enjoying our little game. So are the women at the post office. They are amazed that I have such a young pen friend. LOL. Senior moments do not discriminate, huh? LOL!

Take your time. Lucas says it best.

  3. As I have always said in my online gaming communities, real life comes first, no matter what. Everything else can wait patiently for that ever elusive "free time" to appear. Besides, all the best things in life are worth waiting for!

    1. Lucas, hug yourself for me. I need to print your comment and post it where I will see it in every room I enter. Am going to enjoy my down time and do what I love more than anything else. Thanks for the reminder.

  4. Don't I know it, This little "hobby" addiction of ours ain't cheap. I figure I'm into my next "project" for end of march /beginning of April $90+ and I haven't even purchased all of the stamps yet.. Gotta eat to! And now baby needs a new pair of shoes :) (and daddy needs a new transmission) more on that later.

  5. Wouch, Derrick. My postage tab exceeds my mail allowance, so a sister has to supplement. LOL. I love freelancing but it takes a lot of time. So I have to rob Peter to pay Paul when it comes to investing hours. Am glad everyone understands.

You are too funny! Surely Mama needs something, too? :) Dang. A transmission? Double wouch!

Hahaha! I need an assistant. Creating stock is easy. It's all the shop time I dislike. The uploading and pricing? Yick. LOL. I feel like a mule and demand is a mule skinner.
