There's More

You might not think what came before has much to do with writing letters, notes, and such, but it's all related. Sometimes it takes me a while to get to Kansas 'cause I go through Colorado and Cali, but I'll get you there eventually.


Now. I finally used my unique quill pen, and this is what came of it:




I hope you can read it. You see, instructions said to use a thin ink. Shellacked inks are too sticky. So I used Newton's plum colored ink. Of course I'm tickled at the results. Instructions also said, "Practice improves your penmanship with a quill pen." They weren't talking about my porcupine quill, but since a quill is a quill, I figure what's good for the goose is grease for the gander.


I wonder if I should curve the end of the tip as it's done with a bird's quill? Mercy, but I don't want to mess it up. It's not like I get an African porcupine quill every day. This makes me so nervous.
